Alright, lets get this out of the way right now: You aren't getting PS5 or PC quality games here, so get that out of your head right now. You know those consoles, like the handheld ones you see in stores near the checkout aisle? The one's that say "100 built in games!" and stuff like that? This is sort of like that, but it has a bigger variety to it.Â
Shooting games: Raga of Wars and Perfect Counterattack are the closest to classic arcade shooters like Area 51 and Time Crisis, but make sure you go in with measured expectations here. This is just a relatively cheap "multicade" console. Everything plays fine, it wasn't particularly laggy or anything like that, it plays just fine. Sharpshooter reminds me of Police Trainer. it's fun, a bit repetitive, but fun. Shooting Duck is obviously supposed to remind you of Duck Hunt, and it does a good job. Plays well. Dream Pieces is a good spin on Bejeweled. Not bad.
Retro Games: I won't list all 800 some odd games here, but it's a pretty decent library of classics from the NES and onward. 1942, 1945, Castlevania, Contra, Air Wolf, Alien 3, stuff like that. But there's also a lot of homebrews on here too. A good example is you'll see "Angry Birds" on here, but it isn't the one you're thinking of, it's a ROM hack of Mario. So it's interesting, but not the real Angry Birds game. It also has the OG Metal Gear on here, too. It's got a nice variety of real games mixed in with homebrews, so it's fun. Just keep in mind it isn't a "true" 800 list of pure retro games, but more of a retro styled list of real and "throwback" games.
The other games, like the puzzle games, and dancing games, they're all fine, but appeal more to younger kids than anything else, so I didn't spend much time with those, but they played well. You get a decent piece of hardware here. Good controllers, everything to set it up on the TV. It's a good console, all things considered. I like it. Not bad, guys.
